Books have always brought me comfort. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to have shelves of books around me. And now we’ve got more books than the shelves can hold, so they’ve just found their way to random piles around the house.
But when I think about it, I’ve felt the same about movies. As a kid, I used to love looking through shelves of VHS tapes… which eventually became shelves of DVDs.
Maybe I just like being around stories.
At some point, however, all of those media shelves disappeared. You won’t find a single, physical copy of a movie in our house anymore. Everything is on the cloud, but my digital media library is massive.
I can’t tell you my favorite movies because I have issues choosing a favorite anything. Favorite food? I don’t know. Favorite song? I don’t know. Regardless, here’s a list of movies you should watch. They’re good.
- The Matrix
- Fight Club
- Pulp Fiction
- Catch Me If You Can
- Inception
- Martian
- Moon
- Avatar
- Interstellar
- Whiplash
- The Conjuring
- Platoon
- What Dreams May Come
- Cloud Atlas
- Snowpiercer
- Elysium
- Seven Psycopaths
- The Shawshank Redepmtion
- The Green Mile
- Everything Everywhere All At Once
If you haven’t seen any of those, they’re all worth watching. I’ve quite fond of sci-fi and comic book movies, but I left out everything from DC, Marvel, Star Trek, and Star Wars — otherwise they would have already filled up the list.
What are your favorite movies? Selene and I are always looking for stuff to watch.
Good morning and happy Monday, friends!
I’m not really sure where this week went. Kind of seems like it just slipped away.
I’ve been working on Opal Luna’s interview a lot this week. This will get posted soon as a new episode of M3. As for more M3 news, I also had an awesome interview with Alexian, which is queued up for me to work on after that. I’ve got my interviews lined up for at least a couple months — I’ll slowly be sharing the names of guests as we get further on in the year.
I wrote a lot this week and posted an article sharing my Mercury Planetary incense — I burn it during retrogrades to help lighten things up. I’m actually planning on making more later today because this one has been rough! I also finally posted my video about binaural beats. A written version is coming at the end of this week.
Also on the schedule for this week is Color Magick, part 2! I’ve got to stand by my claim of “more about color than you ever wanted to know.”
On Friday, Selene and I had a lovely full moon ritual at home. We made a moon-themed incense and burned it in gratitude to the gods. We sang and made noise while grinding the ingredients. It was nice.

I’d tell you the recipe, but I honestly don’t remember. Frankincense, Myrrh, Mugwort, Jasmine, Rose… and I’m sure there was some other stuff.
On Sunday, we took a quick trip to shop for gardening supplies. We found this really cool plant that was covered in bees, so we brought one home. I can’t remember what it’s called, but the vertical stalks of flowers turn shades of orange, purple, and pink.

And then we planted some sunflower seeds. I picked a variety called Velvet Queen, which should bloom into a deep red flower.

There’s seeds under there, I promise.
It might not look like much now, but I’ll be sure to keep you updated with growth progress.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more!
