Actually, there’s a longer title: “”Newes from Scotland: A true discourse, Of the apprehension of sundrye Witches lately taken in Scotland: wherof some are executed, and some are yet imprisoned. With a particuler recitall of their examinations, taken in the presence of the Kinges Maiestie.”

You see, I’m researching a witchy song called The Witch’s Reel. I’m going to publish an article on it later this week. I wanted to double-check where the lyrics come from.

And I wasn’t disappointed. There’s one couplet from the song that can be traced back to witch trials in Scotland. If you’re interested in more info, you’ll have to wait until later this week!
