There’s always more. Infinitely more, actually. And if you need some, just give me a shout.
The real question that I’ve been asking is… how can I do less?
Right?
I mean, is it better to do ten mediocre things or just one really good thing? Do the mediocre things really matter? Do we remember them?
You should see the “ideas” list on my phone. Or maybe the projects folder of half-recorded songs on my desktop. And I think I may have mentioned the endless list of blog posts.
Yep. I’ve certainly piled on “more.” The challenge, I think, is choosing the one from the many. What’s most important? And how can I do it well?
Just something to think about.
Good morning and happy Monday friends!
We had a great time at Pagan Pride Day in Sunrise. The concert will be up on Patreon later this week as soon as I finish scrubbing through the footage.
On the way there, we stopped to grab a half gallon on sweet tea from Publix. There was this little pastry shop next door and we couldn’t help but go inside. They make every type of eclair you could possibly imagine — and even a few you probably wouldn’t.
Behold, the mango rum cake eclair.

Yeah, there’s even little flecks of gold. It was that fancy.
I thought it sounded like a great idea, but it turned out to be a terrible, terrible snack to eat outside in the heat. Anyway, we headed right down the road to the park and started setting up for Pagan Pride.

It was really hot. I mean, I usually get hot when I’m playing indoors with ample cooling, but I damn near passed out this time. As such, my memory of the performance is a little hazy. The only thing I really remember is that when I played IO Pan, a strong (and more than welcomed) breeze blew in for a minute. It very much felt like he was saying “what’s up? I’m here.”
After we lugged all my gear back to the car, Selene suggested I sit in the car with the AC running for a few minutes. I thought that sounded like a really good idea.
It was at that moment we discovered that our car battery was dead. Luckily, Carl from The Grove gave us a jump start, but we decided to head out a little early so we could stop by the auto parts store and get it taken care of.
I don’t know if this is a Broward thing, but the employees at the auto store refused to change our battery on account of our car design. It’s not like it’s a Ferrari or something. It’s a Kia Sportage. And that’s never been an issue before. Anyway, I got stuck changing things out in the parking lot.
To lighten the mood a bit, we stopped by an Indian restaurant.

Earlier in the week, I wrote a post on meditation. I also made a video on how to make a corn dolly. Now you can make one, too!
We had our coven’s Autumn Equinox circle on Friday night. We gave the harvest spirit a new home. (Hint: It’s the corn dolly)

And… news from the garden: Something broke the stalk of one of my sunflowers. I’m not sure if it’ll survive, but I propped it back up and tied it to a stake. We shall see! And we got a jasmine plant. I’m sure I’ll be posting picture of that in the near future.
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more soon!
