Ode to Ableton Live

I remember the days of Lite
when eight tracks seemed to be enough
but then I hungered for more.
I searched for years
for years
until I found a DAW that made sense.
And then, out of nowhere
it was you.
You, the bearer of sounds, came for free
as a demo with my hardware.
I thought I'd try you out,
give you a chance.
But now I know
that I could spend a thousand hours
(the gods know I have already)
and still not know every inch of you.
Because now I own Suite.
And there's just too many things.
Too many packs, plugins, and instruments.
I will surely spend the rest of my days
improving my skills.
Until finally,
the noise gate shuts
and the volume will drop to zero
forever.
