Is this bat made out of bamboo?
When I read this prompt, the first thing I thought of was baseball. Actually, the first thing I thought of was: “I’m pretty sure I’ve already answered this question and one or two other variants of it.”
You know my real answer. It’s music.
But back to baseball. It’s not my favorite pastime, but it is perhaps one of those stereotypically American things. After all, people do say “as American as baseball and apple pie.”
Why is apple pie American? Does our country have a monopoly on this clever confection?
And that leads me to yet another question… if apple pie is American, then why is Dutch apple pie the best?
Personally, I find baseball about as entertaining as watching golf. That is to say… it is not entertaining at all.
I hope that sufficiently answers the question.
