There were a great many things that happened during the year of my birth.
Here are some of the noteworthy events:
- The Land Before Time was released, which I watched probably 100 times
- The Morris worm reeked havoc on computer systems, and its creator, Robert Tappan Morris, was later the first to be convicted under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. I didn’t have a computer as a newborn, so don’t worry — I was unaffected.
- The Phantom of the Opera opened on Broadway. It later became my favorite musical.
- The Winter Olympics were held in Calgary and the Summer Olympics were held in Seoul. I attended neither of them.
- The number one song on Billboard magazine’s Top Hot 100 was Faith by George Michael. I wouldn’t hear it until many years later, though.
- The first McDonald’s was opened in Budapest. I didn’t eat there.
And of course… I was born!
I’m sure there were other interesting happenings, but I don’t remember any of them.
Good morning and happy Monday, friends!
This past week was filled with holiday stuff.
I wrapped presents… and of course, Loki helped. He always helps.

We celebrated Yule with lots of our coven family. Lisa from Coven Lia Fail put up one of the most amazing Yule altars I’ve ever seen.

And then we went to St. Petersburg to visit Selene’s family for early Christmas.

We had a delicious dinner.

And later this week, we’ll be having Christmas back at home.
So… as you see… lots of holiday stuff.
I released Lon Milo DuQuette’s interview on YouTube and also had a bonus interview with Sara Mastros and Marco Felgueiras. I’m going to be interrupting my normal schedule to get this out to you in about a week, but for right now you can check it out on Patreon.
And finally, there’s a new StaarCon spotlight to check out!
That’s all for now. I have to return my attention to finishing my book. But stay tuned for more!
