When I was a kid, my dream job was to be a preacher. I actually had tiny little sermons that I can remember practicing. I think I was attracted to the concept of spirituality and the idea of helping people, but I only knew those things through the lens of Christianity.
And with just a tiny little pivot, I guess that all worked out. See? I have my soapbox here to stand on in the form of my website. And I can talk about whatever spiritual ideas cross into my head.
And sometimes I even talk about the Bible, albeit in a very, very different context.
(this incredibly short memory has been brought to you by the fact that WordPress daily writing prompts have all become quite redundant)
Good morning and happy Monday, friends.
It’s been a rainy and cold week here, which is pretty strange for South Florida… but still, quite a busy one!
We tried to schedule a prison ministry visit, but unfortunately, the main point of contact at our local institution just left. I haven’t really been able to get through to the new one yet, but hopefully that will be resolved soon.
Since Selene and I had this unexpected chunk of time on Saturday, we thought we might use it to rest. Instead, we ended up spending the day installing a new microwave in our kitchen.

Isn’t it glorious?
On Friday night, we had a lovely coven circle that was mostly focused on Hecate.
Throughout the week, I’ve been working on various festival presentations that are coming up soon. I filmed a 45 minute video for StaarCon about instruments.

Of course, if you’d like to watch it, you’ll have to attend! Christiana Gaudet and I also spent some time planning the StaarCon Closing Ceremonies, which I think will be a lot of fun. I’m very excited and it’s all happening this weekend! (but I still have one more presentation to finish!)
Continuing with that StaarCon theme, I also posted my final spotlight Q&A, this time with headliner Siddharth Ramakrishnan. The entire series should give you a pretty decent look at all the cool people you can meet, interact with, or learn from at the conference.
I made a video that shows you how to make a Brigid’s Cross, which is now live on my YouTube channel.
On Sunday night, Selene and I went to check out a new Hot Pot restaurant that opened up nearby. Our waitress said “I have something very special for you…” and then brought us… this giant cow sculpture filled with slabs of meat.

Well… I’ve certainly never felt more like a carnivore.
That’s all for now! I’ve got more videos and fun things coming out soon. Notably, Dave Gaddy’s interview should be up later this week.
Stay tuned for more!
