What’s the oldest item on your phone’s reminders list? Mine is from 2020.

If something doesn’t get “done” in five years, then one way or another, it’s sorted itself out.

But I’ve got to tell you that where I frequently fail with lists isn’t necessarily completing the items, it’s with marking them as done. I think mine is due for a purge.

Let’s look at a few shining examples…

Coming back to this item now, nearly two years later, I couldn’t tell you exactly what it’s about. Did I mean to buy a new green polo? Maybe I needed to make sure that I washed the one I own. Either way, since there is indeed a green polo shirt hanging in my closet, I’ll have to assume this was completed successfully.

I’ve had many weird dreams. But why did I need to be reminded about it in the afternoon? Your guess is as good as mine. I probably meant to write it down… or to at least reflect and try to find a deeper meaning to it.

This one was definitely finished because that article exists.

You know what I’m going to do? I’m gonna clean up my list.

…but not right at this moment. I’ll do it later. Maybe someone can remind me to come back at some point today and mark that item as complete? (thanks in advance)

Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

Good morning and happy Monday, friends. And happy start of February!

I hope everyone had a blessed Imbolc!

It was a spectacularly magickal week, y’all.

Sometimes, as a high priest, I get to go sub in for other covens who do not have a dedicated priest. And one of these times was Friday, when several covens gathered together to elevate our craft sister to the second degree.

And we did so in a very beautiful place. It would take me an entire day to write about all of the art that was present in the room, so please just settle for this shelf of goddess statues that was tucked away in a corner, in between elaborate wood carvings, stained glass, and a hand-painted ceiling that must have been friends with the Sistine Chapel.

On Saturday, our coven got together to celebrate Imbolc and now we have three new dedicants! So exciting.

We also painted candles — with wax. It was a lot of fun.

I wasn’t totally sure what to put on mine at first, but I ended up going with runes and I’m fairly happy with the result.

I’ve been burning through my supplies of elderberry syrup, so I made another batch. I should really make a video about that soon.

Earlier in the week, I wrote a post on Brigid’s Crosses. If you made a cool one for Imbolc, show it to me!

And of course, the StaarCon recap is due here soon.

And a couple of other things are coming up shortly on the horizon. Turning the Tide is this weekend. If you can’t make it, either because you’re too far away or because registration is full, then you can still catch me virtually at WitchCon, where I’ll be teaching about fluid condensers.

I’m also prepping for a new season of M3. Starting to get a bunch of interviews lined up.

And you know what? I haven’t talked about TV shows or movies recently. I was absolutely obsessed with Silo these past couple of months. Have you guys seen that? Crazy show. We’re also watching the latest season of Severance. What will become of Mark S.? Only time will tell!
