I love fresh fruit. It’s tasty, healthy, and refreshing. Is there anything better? It’s not something that I easily tire of — and I can say this with confidence because I basically survived off of fruit smoothies for years.

Well, “survived” might have a negative connotation… as if it was my only option. It wasn’t. I chose to consume fruit smoothies for years. I enjoyed them.

You can put a lot of interesting fruits into a smoothie. Strawberries? Raspberries? Yes, please. Dragonfruit? Blueberries? How about avocado and a hint of lime?

But I digress.

Humans have been enjoying fruit for a long time. So much so that we’ve incorporated them into myths. There’s the apples from the Garden of Eden in the Bible, for example. There are pomegranates associates with Persephone in Greek Mythology. And there are very special peaches consumed by the gods in Chinese Mythology.

That just names a few. There are plenty more.

I’m pretty partial to raspberries myself. They’re definitely my favorite.

Does anyone know any myths that center around raspberries?

Good morning and happy Monday, friends!

I hope you’ve all had a nice week. It’s been busy over here!

It was Selene’s birthday on Tuesday and Mother’s Day yesterday. To celebrate, we fired up the grill and cooked some chicken, sausage, and burgers. It was quite delicious.

I’m finishing up edits to Byron Ballard’s episode and will have that posted rather soon. I’ve got another interview scheduled for later today — stay tuned as I release more information for that one! Earlier in the week, I posted the written highlights for episode featuring Josh Yates.

Friday night was coven night. We had a class on magickal tools, chakras, and auras. Plus, we scheduled several sabbats with our coveners and will be very excited to see some of them take the reigns and perform rituals later on this year.

There is a new family of ducklings growing up in our neighborhood. At first, there were ten… but now there are only four. They seem to be teenagers.

At some point in the week, I was visited by an ibis while I was outside watering some plants. As I began to head back in the house, I heard some strange footsteps behind me in the grass. I turned around and saw a beautiful bird walking following me.

So obviously I ran inside and grabbed some crackers.

Okay, that’s enough about birds.

I had a really fun time chatting with Christiana Gaudet about whether or not it’s beneficial to use “sci-fi terminology” in our practices. The conversation was live, but you can catch the replay on her YouTube channel.

Christiana was one of my very first guests on M3. We have some exciting content coming up very soon! In less than two weeks, we’ll be starting a series on runes. She claims she needs “to be taught,” but I’ve got a strong hunch that she knows way more than she’s letting on! And with her decades of experience as a Tarot reader to draw from, I have no doubt that we’ll be having some interesting talks. The first episode is scheduled for 5/21 if you’d like to subscribe to her channel and get notifications for when we go live.

And don’t forget, I’ve got a new class series that starts in June!

I’d love to have you there with me.

That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more soon!
