I feel like I’ve said this before, possibly multiple times, but my favorite time of “day” is the night.

And I say this with respect to all of you morning people. Honestly, I admire your morning routines. They seem really great! But I don’t want to be a part of them.

The night always feels like it’s filled with endless possibilities. There’s tranquility and mystery. And perhaps most importantly, there is a stillness in the air that allows my brain to finally turn on.

As soon as the dawn breaks, that stillness is replaced by noise. The light defeats the possibility of mystery. And the tranquility is shattered.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Good morning and happy Monday, friends.

I finished both Coby Michael’s interview as well as his written article… so you can “pick your poison” so to speak (haha, get it?) as to which one you’d like to consume. But if I had to suggest one? Go with the video! You’ll get way more info that way.

It’s been pretty busy around here and this past week has felt like two… or three… or four weeks. According to my calendar, however, it’s just been one.

Most of my time was spent working on my runes class. It was the final installment of The Witch’s Toolkit series. Honestly, I think everything went pretty well and I’ve received nice feedback.

If you missed the live classes, you can still catch the replays. Contact me for more info about that.

I found some happy plants in the back yard. The hoya is blooming and we have little a little mushroom explorer.

It was extremely difficult to get a clear shot of the hoya flower. The little stars are kind of fuzzy and it confused the hell out of my camera lens. But it’s worth the effort! I think they’re one of the more interesting types of flowers that I’ve encountered.

Friday night was coven night. We had a class on herbs and started to make poppets.

This type of magickal crafting always reminds me how poor my sewing skills are. I can get by, sure, but it’s far from perfect. I’ve got a very specific purpose in mind for this poppet, but… well, that’s private.

Selene and I went out for a nice dinner after my class on Saturday. We tried to take a little downtime this past weekend just because everything recently has been so packed.

Well, that’s all for now. I’ve got a bunch of videos to go work on! Stay tuned for more soon!

  1. I’m imagining how different herbs and spices can impact my mind in what I view as spiritual but not self destructive ways. Cite me an example to believe.

  2. I am also a night owl. Sometimes, my late nights turn into early mornings. I like being up when “everyone” is asleep for exactly the same reason—it’s quieter. The food pictures are making me hungry. Yum!
