Why is it so hard to go with our gut? I’ll tell you why—or at least, my opinion.

Society conditions us out of it. Starting in early childhood, school teaches us to focus on facts, not feelings. Intuition itself is generally disregarded.

Also, the most basic levels of science prioritize empirical evidence, programming us to value only that which is provable through observable, testable, and repeatable means. Gut instincts almost never qualify. Hunches appear out of nowhere without an observable origin. They just happen. They might be right, but you can’t really prove that they ever existed or differentiate an instinct from chance.

In spiritual spaces, we have to unlearn or deprogram some of that behavior so that we can reconnect to our intuition.

Of course, we also have to learn to separate gut instincts from fear… but that’s an entirely different conversation. For now, I’ve got a hunch that I need some coffee…

What’s a time you followed your gut and it turned out to be exactly right?

Good morning and happy Monday, friends.

It was a fantastic weekend, but potentially one of the most exhausting weeks of my life.

We had a very special day planned on Saturday, so we needed some special fuel.

Medialunas! Delicious… but then, the work began.

Over the course of the day, we spent about 12 hours doing a double initiation. As a result, we’ve had two new witches officially join our coven. We had some members drive in from far away to participate. It was awesome having so many of us back together again, but it’ll probably take another few days to energetically recover. I’d show you pictures, but, you know… that part is a secret. Rest assured, it was beautiful (although I may be slightly biased).

In the days before that, we were pretty busy traveling to and from Rhode Island.

For future reference, the Providence airport has really nice bathrooms.

Due to long connecting flights and layovers, it was roughly three days of travel to have like… 18 hours in Rhode Island.

But on the plus side, I did take a picture of a cute bee. And these clover flowers reminded me of my childhood and laying in the grass.

Pretty much every other waking moment was spent prepping for the initiations or trying to cram a week’s worth of homework into the one other available day.

So now it’s back to work! I have videos to make. I have posts to write. We also sold out of kyphi and ritual incense a few days ago and I’ve already had a few people messaging me about it… so I’m going to have to hop back on the production train soon.

That’s all for today! Stay tuned for more soon.
