I’ve always loved books.
When I was a kid, I had a bedtime… but I was allowed to stay up later as long as I was in bed and reading something. I never wanted to go to sleep, so I was always up reading.
Every few weeks, we’d go to the library and I would grab a new stack of books.
I’ve never gotten rid of the stack. Sure, the books themselves have changed, but there is always a stack of books around our house. And yes, we have bookshelves, but they never seem to be big enough to hold all of the books that need reading.
I’m currently still working on this one, which Selene got me for ChristmaYuleMas.
I guess the short answer is that I want to read all of the books. Physical books bring me a strange sense of comfort. I can’t always read them all, but I still want them… so sometimes they just live in stacks.
A house without books would be a sad house indeed.

Such crazy weather we’ve been having, right? For all of last week, I was getting pictures and videos of snow from my parents and sisters. In Florida. Snow in Florida. The sunshine state. It’s certainly strange.
I spent most of last week prepping for my StaarCon presentations, which just ended last night.
And you know… you’re going to hear all about it in a StaarCon Recap post in a week or two, once I finish collecting all my thoughts and pictures… so I’ll only tell you a little bit about it today!
There were many gifted readers there and more presentations than it was possible to attend, but luckily they were all recorded, so I can go back and watch what I missed. I personally gave a workshop about runes on Saturday, then one about instruments on Sunday… I think people had fun at both. And it was nice to make some new friends!
Also last week, I posted Dave Gaddy’s episode of M3, which you can go and check out on YouTube, and the written highlights of Sara and Marco’s episode.
There is so much more coming up on the horizon! Lots more to prepare! First… Imbolc, then… Turning the Tide! Plus… WitchCon!
Well, I’ve got a concert to practice… so I’ll keep it short today.
