
…is that there are a lot of them, especially when you blend your typical days with the modern pagan wheel of the year.
But I guess most people here in the United States focus on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter as the three biggest annual holidays. There’s definitely some overlap between Christmas and Yule as well as Easter and Spring Equinox. Thanksgiving has a very similar vibe to Autumn Equinox, but they’re usually offset by about two months.
The truth is that the sabbats are the only things that don’t feel overly commercialized to me. I love the idea of celebrating, giving gifts, and feasting, but hate doing it when I feel compelled to do so by the media.
Phew, I almost launched into a rant on why I despise Christmas there. We’ll save that one for another day.
Anyhow, we usually celebrate holidays with friends and family. We make a lot of food and we eat a lot of food — that’s about the extent of it.
This has been a most uninteresting question to answer and I am afraid I gave it a proportionately uninteresting response.
