I never thought writing a book would be easy. I knew it would be a lot of work.
I guess I just really didn’t understand exactly how much work it would be. Well, my friends, I’m happy to report to you that the quantity has more than exceeded my expectations.
Have I ever mentioned to anyone that I’m really good at starting projects? I have more than 60 unpublished blog posts. I’ve got about 40 unfinished recordings in my Ableton projects folder. I have at least 10 videos that I haven’t edited. Not to mention 4 workshops that need to be planned. And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but there’s at least a few examples around my website of a series that has a “Part 1,” but no corresponding “Part 2.”
Let’s look at the bright side for a moment. I have no shortage of ideas!
Unfortunately, I tend to be rather bad at finishing things. It’s frequently quite a chore to put enough words on these very posts and click the publish button. And the bigger the project, the less likely I am to finish it.
Hey, I’m just being honest here. Must be my Aries energy or something. It’s a wonder I ever finish anything at all.
My book is, by far, the largest single project I’ve ever undertaken. It’s the most hours I’ve ever put into any one thing.
But it will be worth it. And I’ll get it done.
Luckily, I have a deadline.
