We’re continuing the StaarCon 5 spotlight series with another exciting guest. As the weeks go on, I’ll be focusing on more and more headliners and presenters.
Who’s headlining, you might ask?
- Siddharth Ramakrishnan
- Cardsy B
And I’ll grab some other folks along the way, too, like Mitchell Osborn!
If you haven’t heard about StaarCon yet, then let me just tell you that it’s a divination-themed conference. You can attend in-person or online. Either way, it’ll be filled with tons of awesome workshops from great presenters.
Speaking of those presenters, let me tell you a little bit about Cardsy B.

Rebecca Szymczak -aka Cardsy B– is an author, intuitive tarot reader, and wellness influencer. Her work has been featured in Nylon, Elle, Bustle, Forbes, and The Zoe Report. She has collaborated with global brands like Gucci, BCBG MaxAzria, and HULU. She writes tarot-scope columns for various magazines and digital platforms and works as the “Wellness Witch in Residence” at NYC’s The Algonquin Hotel. She is also the host of the award-winning Hex and the City podcast and author of the acclaimed memoir The Saturn Diaries: A Modern Day Grimoire.
Alright, you know how these spotlight articles work, right? I ask some questions, people answer, we all read and get to know them a little better and the world becomes a slightly more magickal place. Let’s get to it.

I've read tarot since I was eleven, but didn't turn it into a full time career until coming through a dark night of the soul in my Saturn return in my early 30s.
Can you give me a teaser of what you’ll be teaching at StaarCon 5?
Tarot Style: Developing your own style of reading Tarot and Launching your Tarot Brand and Business
Part 1: The Magician- Discovery
In the first part of the workshop we'll explore how to embrace your own signature style of reading tarot from what location(s) you feel best and most intuitive reading, setting up your space, opening your intuitive channel, pace of readings, niche (love readings? finding your purpose?) signature spreads and more.
Once you have found your signature style and voice it's much easier to launch your own brand and tarot business.
Part 2: The Emperor: Setting up your Empire
We'll dive into:
-Defining the audience that will most resonate with your style and who will most benefit from the way your read
-Infusing your Tarot Style into your brand name and logo
-social media, newsletters, podcasts
-connecting with collaborators, brands venues
Are there any resources (including your own works) you would recommend so that people can be more prepared for your workshop(s)?
Attendees are encouraged to bring a tarot deck they enjoy working with, and their excitement :)

Her book, The Saturn Diaries
Also I recommend my book The Saturn Diaries: A Modern Day Grimoire, which will also be for sale at StaarCon.
What’s your most memorable experience at a festival?
This is my first one and I'm so excited!
Who has been highly influential in your own spiritual growth?
Louise Hay, Esther Hicks, Dr Joe Dispenza, my mother, my best friend: Lisa Stanton
Aside from your own, what workshop are you most looking forward to attending at StaarCon 5?
So many! Definitely Mitchell Osborn's - I've been a fan of his work for a while now
