Someone once said: “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”
The quote is usually attributed to Mark Twain, though there’s no real evidence to support that. Despite not knowing for sure where it came from, it’s still a great quote.
Now, it’s certainly not something I “live my life by,” but it has been on my mind a lot recently. You know, due to the state of the world and everything.
Most people (maybe it’s not fair to say “most”—if you think it’s unfair, substitute “many”) don’t ever reevaluate beliefs. They form an opinion and then run with it until they die. And it doesn’t matter how much evidence comes up to the contrary.
Just something to keep in mind.

Our coven celebrated an early Beltane this past Friday. There was magick and food and even some improvised Maypoles. We made honey jars and had a lot of fun. Pan and Aphrodite were up on the altar.
Unfortunately, I’m not feeling very well this morning so I’m going to keep it rather brief. If you’re bored, you can go and watch this silly short video I made.
Over the last week, I’ve been wrapping up final projects and papers for my Spring semester. I had to make a video presentation that ended up being almost 30 minutes long. Ridiculous!
In other news, I’m working on a new episode of M3 (hopefully out later this week) and—because people have asked for it quite a few times—a video on making a simple fluid condenser.
Since my birthday occurred while we were in Boston last week, we postponed celebrating. On Saturday, we went out to a diner, spent a nice day at home, and then got takeout from my favorite Indian restaurant.
I did not take a picture of our takeout dinner, but if you close your eyes and picture delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, then you’ll be somewhere in the right ballpark.
Finally, I shall leave you with this picture of Loki… because cats make everything better.
