There was always a computer in my house when I was a kid. I can remember playing weird DOS games on it and stuff, but then for Christmas one year… I got a Nintendo.
It came with the combo cartridge of Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt.
It’s fair to say that Mario played a significant part of my childhood. He was always running around, trying to save some princess.
I had Super Mario 2 and Super Mario 3. Of the trio, I probably enjoyed the third the most.
A few years later, I got a Super Nintendo with Super Mario World, which was by far my favorite. In order to distinguish between the two consoles, we referred to the first generation as “regular.” You know, because it wasn’t “super”—it was just regular Nintendo.

Anyway, Mario eventually got knocked off his pedestal by Pokemon, but he will always hold a special place in my heart alongside Pikachu, Link, and Sonic.
Good morning and happy Monday, friends.
- New M3 Episode: Lilith Dorsey, Voodoo, and Spiritual Initiations
Loki status: Chilling.

Me, on the other hand? Not chilling. Selene and I did manage to take a night off on Friday, though… she found a Halloween-themed popup bar in Lake Worth, to which we paid a visit.

They had the whole room decorated—cobwebs, ghosts, black cats. There were TV’s in the corners of the ceiling playing episodes of older shows like Goosebumps and Tales from the Crypt. All the staff were dressed up in costumes. And of course, the drinks were themed. There was even something delivered in a hanging blood bag with an IV tube. I don’t know how folks drank that particular concoction, but it was still interesting to see.
I made a simmer pot to make the house smell like fall and then realized I had accidentally made a very delicious drink, so… perhaps I shall post the recipe later.

I promised you a new episode of M3 last week… and I delivered! I’ve got a really good interview with Lilith Dorsey for you to check out, streaming on both YouTube and Spotify as of Saturday. In a few days, there will be an early release on Patreon of an interview with Jamie Waggoner, and then I’m just going to keep churning out new episodes as quickly as possible until the end of the year.

In other news, a hawk came to visit right outside our back door. We didn’t get to have a conversation, though, because he flew away as soon as I touched the glass.

That’s all for now, friends. Stay tuned for more soon!
