That’s really hard… Weekly Recap 4/22/2024

This might be a really hard question to answer. I mean, it’s not like I took three of the top things that I enjoy discussing and then named a blog and a YouTube channel after them, right? Surely not.

You can check out my guides page to get a pretty good idea of what I like to talk about. After all, I’ve spent countless hours and tens of thousands of words rambling on about things, so I’d have to say I enjoy it at least a little bit. But if you’d like to know what I find interesting outside of the realm of music, myth, or magick…

I guess I’m just a pretty big nerd.

Want to talk about Star Trek? I’m your guy. Star Wars? Dune? Harry Potter? Battlestar Galactica? Lord of the Rings? Let’s have a chat.

Actually I’ve got The Hobbit on in the background right now as I type some of this.

I don’t enjoy talking about politics. I don’t enjoy talking about sports. I’m not someone who stays up to date on celebrities, current affairs, or really most topics that revolve around what other people are doing in any sort of way.

On the other hand… if you’d like to talk about the politics of Middle Earth or the United Federation of Planets, I’m sure we can work something out.

Good morning and happy Monday, friends.

This past week may have seemed a little quiet, but it was my birthday after all, so for a few days I was quite busy doing birthday-related things. More on that later. I’ve also been furiously typing, writing endlessly about fluid condensers. Rest assured that even when you can’t see it, words are being flung onto pages.

I continued the SMF Spotlight series with musical headliner Ginger Doss, but that’s only half of the musical headliner, so later we’ll be hearing from Lynda Millard as well.

I’m talking to Nathan Hall today, which will then become the next episode of M3!

Last week, our coven experimented with one of the Tattvas. It involved binaural beats, strobe lights, and staring at this thing…

I’ll post a video on instagram later, but it’s pretty cool.

As for birthday-related things… We had a lot of good food. I got some books! Books are always great presents. Ultimately though, I do enjoy the opportunity for not doing things, so there was quite a bit of that going on.

I hope I never stop having an endless pile of books to read.

And I got a lego set. Who doesn’t like legos?

Selene and I also went to see Civil War, which was one of the most exquisitely brutal and horrifying movies I’ve ever seen. The gunshots felt… like gunshots… at least with the theater audio. It was terrifying. Go see it if you’d like to feel emotions.

That’s all for now. It’s going to be a busy morning and a busy day!

No please don’t tell the council!
It’s a product of my upbringing. Pokémon was about as far as I was allowed to venture into things like that as a kid — and even Pokémon was debated very heavily as something that might lead to the devil. I feel like I missed out on D&D … I probably would have had a lot of fun with it.
